In Secure Chat, you have the ability to track the status of your messages to ensure effective communication with your contacts. By understanding the different message statuses, you can gauge when your message has been delivered, read, or if it's pending.
Message delivered to Recipient
If the recipient has received the message, the system will update the status to "Delivered". The status lets you know that the message has successfully went to the recipient.
Message Seen by Recipient
If the recipient reads your message, the system will update the status to "Seen." This status lets you know that the recipient has viewed your message.
Message Pending Due to No Internet Connection
If the message is not delivered due to a lack of Internet connection, the system will indicate that the message is "Pending delivery." You'll have the option to visit your network settings to enable the Internet connection.
Message Pending Due to Recipient's Inactivity
If the message is pending because the recipient is not active, the system will display a "Pending delivery" status. Once the recipient becomes active, the system will update the status to "Delivered."
If you have disabled the "Seen" status in the global settings, the system will retain the "Delivered" status for your messages. This ensures that your messages remain confidential and their read status is not disclosed.
